Eaton 3S Saves Energy
The Eaton 3S manages your energy efficiency for you with EcoControl Master/Control outlets (model 3S750 only). When the item using the Master outlet (e.g., your computer) is idle or shut down, then items using the Control outlets (e.g., printer, scanner, fax) are automatically powered down – rewarding you with up to 30% in energy savings over a typical battery backup.

Energy-saving CFLs have been in the marketplace for many years but a broad range of dimmable bulbs has only recently become available. LEDs are even newer to the market and dimmable versions are also only recently available.
These dimmable bulbs, especially CFLs, have historically presented problems when used on standard incandescent dimmers.

Switching from traditional lighting to ENERGY STAR qualified lighting is a smart move. With energy savings of 75% or more you can save about $6 per bulb or about $14 a fixture annually on your energy bill.
