LIGON ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY
Ligon Electric Supply Company was established in 1951 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Later, Harold Lewis joined the company and became the sole owner when the other partners retired. Ligon Electric began to expand, Lewis opened a new location in Mount Airy. At this time, Ligon Electric was operating in 7 different locations.
State Electric Supply Company, Huntington, West Virginia, was pleased to announce the acquisition of Ligon Electric Supply Company in 1992. The company will continue to operate as Ligon Electric Supply Company of State Electric and the existing management team will remain in place.
