This SMS/Text Messaging Privacy Policy explains how State Electric Supply Co. (“State Electric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects mobile phone numbers and related information when individuals opt in to receive SMS/text messages from us.
State Electric’s SMS/Text Messaging program currently includes internal communications for employees and authorized representatives. Customer-facing SMS/text communications will be offered separately and require explicit customer opt-in in accordance with this Policy.

When you voluntarily opt in to receive SMS/text messages from State Electric, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Records of your consent (including date, time, and method of opt-in)

- By providing your mobile phone number through our website, online forms, customer portals, service requests, account registration, or other interactions with us and affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages
- By checking a clearly labeled opt-in box or otherwise providing written or electronic consent
- By signing a paper or electronic form that includes SMS consent language
- By responding affirmatively to an opt-in or confirmation text message (for example, replying “YES” to enroll)
- By initiating a text message to a phone number designated by State Electric for text communications, where required disclosures are provided at the time of enrollment
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
How to Opt Out of Text Messages
You may opt out of receiving text messages from State Electric at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message you receive from us
- Contacting State Electric’s Advance Customer-Service Team at (681) 203-2090
- Sending a written request to P.O. Box 5397, Huntington, West Virginia 25703
After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you choose to re-enroll.

Message Rates, Frequency, and Limitations
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is limited to a reasonable number per week. Messages are not intended for emergency or time-sensitive communications.
