Short Description

O-Z/Gedney nonmetallic insulating bushings are used to protect wires and cables at entry and exit of threaded rigid conduit and IMC. O-Z/Gedney also has a plug to be used with metallic or nonmetallic bushings to prevent the entry of dirt or dust.

  • O-Z/Gedney specification grade insulated bushings help protect insulated conductors from abrasion during pulling or due to mechanical vibration
  • They also provide a voltage gradient between the live conductors and ground at the point where conductor insulation is subjected to electrical and mechanical stress
  • Molded on high impact phenolic thermoscutting insulation
  • Positive metallic conduit stop
  • Type B insulated bushings of malleable iron or steel, with conduit end stop and integrally molded non-combustible phenolic insulated surfaces rated 150 deg C shall be used on the ends of all raceways containing number 4 or larger conductors
